it’s been weeks since my last post, and i’m still exactly as fat as i was when i started, possibly fatter. i think my body has become immune to weight loss. which is not to say that i’ve been perfect, but i’ve been infinitely better than i have over the last 6 months, but the scale won’t budge. not a pound. not an ounce. getting my thyroid checked next month, but i thought it might be helpful for me to make a serious effort at actual weight-loss before i beg my doctor to take my blood. i’m going to do my best to keep it under 1500 calories a day, and i thought it would be an interesting experiment to see if making two small changes to my routine would have any actual impact.
1. drink one cup of green tea with breakfast. supposedly, it speeds up your metabolism. but for me, the caffeine just keeps me less hungry for a little longer.
2. chew a stick of gum after lunch. chewing gum always makes me less hungry, and minty freshness makes me less likely to want to muck up my mouth with food.
my crazy-convoluted diet ideas always go down in flames at the end of the month. can i hold it together for 30 days?
